Habitat for Humanity

Friday, May 21st, 2010 by Jeremy

We are proud to announce the dates for Salt City Home Designs 3rd annual Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser and Volunteer day.

The Volunteer Day will be Saturday August 7th 2010 (more information and details to follow). If you are interested in helping with this please let us know as soon as you can because we are limited to 15 people and this always fills up fast.

The concert / fund-raiser will be Saturday August 14th 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and as always we are looking for sponsors, donations, and people to help with the event. If you are interested in helping with any of the evenings festivities please let us know…(silent auction table, food sales table…etc.)

As it gets closer we will coordinate banners (for businesses who wish to display banners) as well as gift basket pickups.

We also have our door prize grab bags (so business cards, coupons, fliers, and any other promotional material you may want to hand out will need to be gathered up a few days before the event).

I know there is still a while before the event, but I just want everyone to mark their calendars and keep those two Saturdays open.

More information will be forthcoming,

We just want to thank everyone in advance, and tell everyone who helped last year that I really do appreciate your assistance. Let’s make this year’s event even better than the last two years!!

May Client Spotlight

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010 by Jeremy

The May spotlight home is a truly one of a kind custom home! We really enjoy working with each client…..however homes like this only come around once every year or two. This home was a challenge to design, but the finished product makes us proud to be a part of residential design community. This home has a lovely exterior but the most stunning items are waiting on the inside.

When you first walk through the eight foot double doors into the grand entry you are greeted by a breathtaking circular staircase which is complimented by beautiful tile work as well as an awe inspiring domed ceiling.

The archways leading into the great room are flanked by two story windows allowing the homeowner a picturesque view of the Utah mountain range. The kitchen has exquisite tile work and the custom cabinetry really shows off the home.

Metal Roofing Systems

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 by Jeremy

Metal roofs, or asphalt shingles? This is a question I am asked on a rather regular basis. There are lots of advantages to installing a metal roof on your residential project. If you chose the correct system it will easily last your lifetime…Thats YOUR lifetime not just the life of the home. It is fireproof (which is great if you live an area prone to wildfires). They are very wind resistant, water proof, and virtually little to no maintenance is required to keep the roof looking good as new.

This home (in Virginia Idaho) is a beautiful example of what a properly installed metal roof can (and should look like). This home was remodeled in 1995 and the red metal roof details the clean lines and classic architecture of the home.

This home also happens to be on the market so if you are interested in finding out more, just follow the link below! (MLS #536359)
